Adding a New product
Setting-up products in your store is arguably the most important activity and also the most frequent.Before inserting the actual product itself into the Product form, check that you have already prepared the following data:
- Category: is the Category (or Sub-category) created and ready?
- Manufacturer: is the right Manufacturer present in the Manufacturer's list?
- Local Tax Class: is the right Local Tax Class already setup?
- Tax Class: is the right Tax Class already setup?
- Length Class: is the right Length Class available?
- Weight Class: is the right Weight Class available?
- Attributes (optional): are the correct attributes ready for my product?
- Options (optional): are the correct options setup for my product?
- Filters (optional): are the appropriate filters configured for my product.
- Downloads (optional): If my product is a downloadable file, is the file present?
- Palette (optional): is the correct palette of colours available to use?
- Images (optional): adding images can be done while inserting the product, but preparing the images could save you time.
Please refer to the appropriate documentation to setup any of the above features.
Remember, preparation is important and will save you time!
Once you are happy with your preparation, the construction of your new product can take place.
Simply fill all the relevant fields with your data, make sure it is "enabled", then Save.
Congratulation, your new product is now showing in the Catalog!
