Custom Footer
Customizable FooterIn NivoCart, the Footer block is highly configurable and in many ways acts like a Module with options. It features some useful customizations built-in to allow it to fit in as many webpage designs as possible. The Footer block is the last block in every page and contains the closing </div> tag opened in the Header block.
It has been designed around 5 inner blocks, as shown in the diagram below:
Configuration
The Footer block configuration page is located in "Design > Footer".
As you can see in the diagram, it features 4 vertical inner blocks (numbered from 1 to 4) and an address block. They are all optional. Each one of the 4 vertical inner blocks purpose is to display links, either local (internal redirects) or external (urls pointing to other websites).
These links can be organized in groups, and each group can be positioned in a set order inside each columns, making each lists highly configurable. You can choose to use as many of the 4 columns as you want since empty columns will not be displayed. If only 2 columns have content (one or multiple groups of links attributed to them), they will show and resize automatically to fill the space of the 4 inner blocks allowed.
The Address Block is fixed in position but can be hidden entirely in the Configuration Settings. It is wider than the other 4 blocks and is designed to display the store address and the contact details. It can contain social media icon links as well, such as X, Instagram and Facebook, if they have been setup in the Main Store Settings.
Custom Theme
The Footer block configuration page allows you to modify the way the complete footer looks. On top of the 2 default themes (Light and Dark), NivoCart features two lists of built-in custom colors and shapes CSS modifiers.
These lists include 32 colors and 6 shapes. The 32 colors have a contrasting text color attached to them to keep everything displaying correctly (lighter colors will have a dark text and darker colors will have a white text).
The Shapes are basically rounded corners, allowing to display the whole Footer from square to 11 pixels rounded corners. To complete the custom design choices on the footer, the Menu Modules have also the same customization options available to them, so they can be matched for consistency in the overall page design.
